Asclepias syriaca

This Milkweed grows to about 2-5 feet and requires full sun. It’s not shade tolerant. It fairs well in dry soils and is drought tolerant. The flowers are highly fragrant and aromatic, similar to a lilac scent. It may be propagated by seed or via rhizomes. Seeds may take two years to germinate (in my own experience). It supports many native pollinators! You’ll see many butterfly and native bee species visiting its flowers. It’s the larval host plant to the Monarch butterfly. It’s also the host plant to many moth species!
