Aquilegia canadensis
This herbaceous perennial produces beautiful red and yellow nodding flowers, which bloom from April-June. Leaves are green to a greenish blue. It’s typically found growing in woodlands and rocky slopes in Eastern North America. The flowers are attractive to hummingbirds, long tongued bees and hawk moths. Seeds provide as a food source for finches. This is the larval host plant to the Columbine Duskywing!
